Ancient tantra is inextricably entwined with the concept of the original tantra goddess Shakti. To be more precise, Shakti is the symbolic representation of the tantra perception of the sacred feminine. This is how an authentic tantra teacher views all women, and this is how any student of tantra must view them too. Your tanta master must teach you that there is no difference between worshiping the tantra goddess Shakti and worshiping your woman. Only then will you enter the true spirit of this ancient art of love and life.

Just as Shakti is symbolic of the tantra goddess in every woman, the yoni (vagina) is symbolic of woman herself. In many ways, it is the source and font of her divine feminineness and power. Ancient tantra considers it appropriate – and in fact mandatory – to worship the yoni as a sacred object. It is from the yoni that all life emanates, and it must be regarded and treated with that in mind.
This is where the concept of tantra yoni puja comes in. An appropriate form of yoni puja is the yoni massage. It is an act of love and obeisance to the tantra goddess in your woman. Remember, such worship does not have to be by a male alone. Tantra accepts and encompasses same-sex relationships, so a tantra yoni puja can and should be performed by a woman for her woman lover, as well. In fact, this is an extremely sacred act since it amounts to tantra goddesses venerating each other. Only a woman can truly understand another, and it is common knowledge that women share a delicate, indefinable bond that transcends male comprehension. Certainly, such a bond cannot be replicated in the world of males.
Interestingly, this woman—to-woman variant often comes across as strange to a tantra novice. Many initiates into this sacred art automatically assume that tantra is essentially a man-woman model. However, it should be remembered that though the lingam (penis) is certainly instrumental in procreation, it is the woman that nourishes life. Therefore, tantra holds woman-woman sexual relationships at least as divine as those between men and women. It is unfortunate that lesbianism has been given such a despicable status by the porn industry. It illustrates the fact that we have forgotten that woman-woman sexual relations were considered normal in ancient times, and for all the right reasons. Today, they have been reduced to a means for titillating men’s sexual fantasies.
Regarding woman as the impersonification of the sacred feminine is intrinsic and fundamental to tantra practice. A good tantra teacher will drive this truth home again and again during his tantra instructions, until it becomes second nature to his pupils. Without this mindset, it becomes impossible to grasp the deeper spiritual concepts that operate in ancient tantra. It in no way diminishes the status of the male, for no divine entity is complete without the ones that worship it. The man retains his importance in the cycle of life. However, he must abandon any pre-existing notions of inherent male superiority and concepts of women as the ‘weaker sex’.
Man – your woman is a tantra goddess. She is Shakti. Even if she is not able to produce children, her yoni is still symbolic of the sacred feminine. Tantra yoni puja or worship is how you display your acceptance of that fact. Woman – never regard yourself as less than a goddess of tantra, for this is your true nature. Your yoni is the nexus of your feminine power. Never allow it to be abused or objectified; guard its divinity as you would any sacred idol.

In tantra, lingam massage is an integral aspect of both honoring and nurturing the male sexual organ. The name ‘lingam’ is Sanskrit for ‘the wand/rod of light.’ Honouring and nurturing the lingam with a lingam massage is appropriate and desirable according to ancient tantra, since this organ is both the storehouse and conduit of tantra energy and sensual pleasure in the male. The correct technique must be learned from an accomplished tantra teacher.
During a tantra lingam massage, it should be borne in mind that orgasm is NOT the objective or the focus. Rather, this revered tantra ritual aims to help the man explore the complete spectrum of his ability to experience sensual pleasure. Orgasm, if it is attained during a tantra lingam massage, is at best to be considered a happy incidental event.
It is not only the shaft of the penis itself that is massaged during a lingam massage. The massage should include the perineum, as well as the testicles and prostate. Contrary to common belief, the experience is not always something that an uninitiated man is entirely comfortable with. This is especially true if the man is typically focused on performance, since a tantra lingam massage is not about male sexual performance but about surrendering to passive, externally applied pleasure.
Your tantra master will tell you that an important prerequisite to a lingam massage that edifies both the giver and the receiver is the correct attitude. The receiver must be able to relax, put aside his usual need to prove himself sexually, and receive pleasure gratefully. The giver, on the other hand, must maintain the necessary degree of reverence for this ancient tantra ritual.
The massage begins with the man lying on his back with his head propped up sufficiently to gaze up at his partner. Likewise, his hips should be propped up, his legs slightly spread and knees partially bent. Prior to the actual lingam massage, both the giver and receiver should engage in a long moment of tantra breathing in order to relax and get into the right spirit of the ritual.
The partner then anoints the lingam and testicles with fragrant oil and starts the massage at the testicles. Obviously, this must be done with utmost care, and with careful observation of the man’s face for any sign of discomfort or actual pain. Particular emphasis should be given to the perineum, where the partner should linger long enough to relax this sensitive area between the anus and testicles. The massage then proceeds to scrotum, the area of the pubic bone and further upwards.
The partner then proceeds to apply gentle, uniform hand pressure on the base of the lingam, working slowly upwards. A good technique is to use alternate hands, pulling upwards and releasing rhythmically and then reversing the process, beginning at the head of the lingam and stroking downwards.
The lingam may get alternately rigid and flaccid during the tantra lingam massage. This is of little consequence and does not reflect on the efficacy of the massage. On completion, the receiver should rest for several minutes either in utter quietness or to the strains of soft music. These are the basic tantra techniques that go into a full-fledged tantra lingam massage. Your tantra teacher will instruct you in advanced methods that deliver the utmost benefit of this healing, rejuvenating tantra ritual.

Tantra body massage is the manipulation of the soft ‘sookshma nadis’ (of which 72000 exist in the human body) using specialized
tantra techniques. Tantric abhyangam is a special body massage that keeps the mind and body balanced and functioning optimally. It also allows the recipient to experience intense pleasure at the soul level, and completely satisfies both partners by creating a two-way flow of love. Performed correctly, such a massage can lead to sublime spiritual closeness that transcends time and space.
Tantra sees the female body as an intense interaction of complex systems, all working in harmony to keep this universe alive. A tantra body massage can result in deep energy release. The body represents the universe, and this kind of massage can trigger the creative energy that drives growth and prosperity within. Moreover, it stimulates and relaxes the body while this flow of energy balances out the tantric chakras.
Tantra sees our bodies as comprised of ten energy zones. A tantra massage works from the inner zones to the outer body, invoking the body’s shakti. A more advanced version of this exotic massage form can actually realign the soul and the body, becoming an invaluable tool in the quest for self-realization.
If expertly performed, a tantra body massage will help increase the energy retention capacity of the ‘Manipura Chakra’ (or solar plexus) and relieve muscular and joint tension as it balances the body’s energy system. The interactive manipulation of the body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along the chakras leads to the release of energy. It works directly on the energy of the chakras to stimulate balance and healing, achieving this by triggering nine key points within the yoni.
Before receiving this massage, it is essential to drink at least three glasses of water, both before and after the session. Water helps cool down the body when it is experiencing the intense waves of pleasurable energy.
Lack of proper information about tantra body massage has led to a lot of scams. In fact, it is now often used a thinly-veiled front for prostitution. Tantra body massage is an authentic spiritual technique that has nothing to do with the dubious massage services we find on the Internet today. Be aware that a qualified practitioner of this highly specialized form of massage has knowledge of specific energy points, as well as the insertions and origins/actions of each of the major energy chakras. A fraud without such knowledge cannot do more than evoke mismatched pleasure/pain responses that are extremely counter-productive and can cause irreparable damage.
